Kangaroo Island Tour

We recently arrived back from Kangaroo Island, where a coach tour that left Ocean Grove on the 12th February 2018, picking up in various spots along the way. Although we had been there previously on a tour, this was the first time that we stayed on the island. With everything, you live and you learn, given it was the first time we had stayed there we now know a couple of tricks for next time.

Overall the island is a stunning place to visit and the majority of people really enjoyed the tour. Special highlights included Seal Bay, Birds of Prey and the Flinders Chase National Park. The rugged coastline means that sitting on a coach is a great way to see the spectacular scenery of the island. We also visited a Eucalyptus Distillery, which came in handy to top up our insect repellent.

Happy visitors of Kangaroo Island

Given the travel time from Geelong to get there, we also had 2 nights in Victor Harbor as a stop over point on the way over and return. The coach was placed on the ferry to get over to the island, a new experience for Clive and all our travelers.

Birds of Prey (and Clive’s finger)

Although a little far away, if you can handle the long drive to get to the island, it is well worth it.
