Australian Camps Association Conference Report

Recently the Australian Camps Association (ACA) held their annual conference for camp providers and suppliers at RACV’s Goldfields Resort in Creswick.

As a member of ACA, Christian’s Bus attended the event and also provided bus transport for conference delegates.

Camps rebound strongly from COVID

Like many tourism providers, camps were hit hard by COVID, but have since rebounded strongly as schools and community organisations venture out again.

The primary focus of the conference was to collaborate on ideas and initiatives to improve services to schools. Angus Christian said “Camps are incredibly important to the community and play a valuable part in developing the life skills of primary and secondary school children.”

Christians working closely with local camps

Strong focus on student safety

To improve safety, Christian’s work with local camp providers to develop Emergency Management Plans and have risk assessment procedures for drivers.
